To give back to our City, improve spectator safety and further enhance the quality of the fan experience the Danbury Westerners have initiated the “Rally for Rogers Park” Crowdfunding campaign. The campaign is needed to finance phase-two of a field improvement initiative that will culminate in the installation of a 10-inning LED scoreboard in left center field. Additionally, phase-two of the improvement plan will replace the 6-foot left field fencing with 16-foot-high fencing, relocate the home bullpen to the left field out of bounds area, and remake the existing home bullpen into a suitable batting cage for community baseball players of all ages.
With your help these much needed and overdue improvements will increase safety for both players and spectators. Your hometown Westerners are proud to call Rogers Park home for 22 evenings every summer season, but the field is mostly occupied for games and practices by Danbury’s Babe Ruth Baseball program, American Legion Post 60 Baseball program, The Housatonic League Baseball League as well as many others. All who play and practice at Rogers Park will benefit from your generosity for generations to come. Let’s go and “Rally for Rogers Park!”
